NEW DELHI - A new report from Indian environmental research and advocacy organisation Toxics Link has exposed widespread contamination by hazardous chemicals in Indian textiles and key waterways.
The study focuses on the “alarming levels” of nonylphenol (NP) and nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEs) – industrial compounds known for their hormone-disrupting properties – in clothing and river systems.
