A new traceable yarn debuts at Pitti Filati 95

Authentico® by Schneider Group welcomes a new accredited partner into its global network: Südwolle Group, an international leader in the production of worsted yarns.

With a global footprint spanning Europe and Asia, Südwolle Group has been manufacturing high-quality yarns for both weaving and knitting since 1966, supplying the fashion, sportswear and corporate wear sectors with a wide range of natural and blended wool yarns. Authentico® is proud to welcome Südwolle Group among its accredited partners — marking the beginning of a collaboration that brings verified, traceable and ethically sourced wool into the company’s diverse product portfolio.

The collaboration between Authentico® and Südwolle Group begins with the launch of Brisbane Authentico 2/60, a yarn made with 17.5-micron Australian wool, scoured and combed in Italy at Pettinatura di Verrone — one of Schneider Group’s fully certified facilities. It is a product that embodies much more than fine quality: it represents a shared commitment to a transparent, responsible and fully verified wool supply chain.

This is more than just a new yarn. It is the first expression of a collaboration built on shared values of traceability, quality and ethics — from the farm to the finished yarn. The first opportunity to discover this partnership in action — and to experience the Brisbane Authentico 2/60 yarn — will be at Südwolle Group’s booth during Pitti Filati (1st–3rd July 2025), Padiglione Centrale – Lower Floor, Stand A/4.

Authentico® by Schneider Group is a brand that stands for a complete, transparent, verified, traceable, ethical and high-quality wool supply chain – from farm to garment – based on the Schneider Group fully certified global network. Wool is sourced from over 1,000 registered growers across Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, South Africa and the USA. Each grower adheres to the Authentico® Integrity Scheme, which defines best practices in animal welfare, land and pasture management, and social responsibility.

Traceability is ensured through the TextileGenesis™ platform, which digitally tracks every lot of wool from farm to top, guaranteeing full transparency across all stages of the supply chain and meeting the increasing demand for verifiable sustainability and tracebility in the textile industry.

At Pitti Filati, visitors will discover how a shared vision of excellence and ethics is shaping new standards for the wool industry — one that values every step, from the farm to the final yarn.
