The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) has been formally recognised as a common ground for the global sustainability reporting system at the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, held in Sevilla, Spain, 30 June - 3 July 2025.
The conference’s outcome document, the ‘Compromiso de Sevilla’, urges UN Member States to consider using GRI Standards, alongside those of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), to ensure comparable and transparent sustainability disclosures worldwide.
