GRI consults on new textiles standard

New Global Reporting Initiative standard for textiles and apparel will cover the entire supply chain up to and including point of sale

The standard is for organisations in textiles, clothing, footwear and jewellery production

The nonprofit Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) has announced a public consultation for its new textiles and apparel certification scheme.

The proposed ‘Textiles & Apparel Sector Standard’ is designed for all organisations in textiles, clothing, footwear and jewellery production, for both retail and wholesale, and addresses impacts across all levels of the supply chain up to and including the point-of-sale.
