European Commission consults on ‘circularity’

The European Commission has launched a consultation for its upcoming Circular Economy Act which is aimed at promoting more sustainable production, circular economy business models, and decarbonisation across a range of industries, including textiles.

The aim of the legislation is to facilitate the free movement of ‘circular’ products, secondary raw materials and waste. It will also hope to increase the supply of high-quality recycled materials and stimulate demand for these materials in the EU.
