Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) with Sustainable Fashion Week (SFW), will host ‘Reclaim trust’, a roundtable and conference taking place on Thursday, 25th September 2025 at the stunning Sheepdrove Organic Farm Eco-conference Centre in Berkshire, England. You can register your interest here.

This one-day event will bring together changemakers from across the textile sector to explore how trusted standards can empower customers – from businesses to individuals – to make informed, responsible choices in a landscape clouded by greenwashing.

“We need leadership to make change for a better world,” said Sos Stopes, GOTS UK Representative.

The day will kick off with an inspiring and motivating keynote speech from Professor Dilys Williams (Director of the Centre for Sustainable Fashion, University of the Arts London) with the title: In a world of broken trust. Hands-on sessions with wool, cotton, natural dyes and personal care products. This will be complemented by panel discussions with Lucy & Yak, Frugi, Little Green Radicals and Natracare. Natural fibres will be prioritised in view of the need to limit the release of microplastics.

The event aims to shine a light on the increasingly important role textile standards play in empowering customers – whether B2C, B2B or C2C – to cut through greenwashing and make informed purchasing decisions.

Brands, manufacturers, retailers and changemakers are all invited to join the event to share ideas, spark action and strengthen the global movement for responsible textiles.
