Tariffs devastate textile dependant Lesotho

MASERU - US President Donald Trump's tariff policy has reportedly left the tiny African country of Lesotho - and its key textile industry - in crisis with thousands of jobs lost.

Trump threatened Lesotho with a 50% tariff in April and although this was reduced to 15% earlier this month, US buyers had already cancelled 80% of orders, according to officials, at a cost of 13,000 jobs so far.
