Textilcolor’s acquisition of halogen-free FR coating patents is part of its strategy to opne up new high-tech textile markets

SEVELEN – Swiss textile chemical specialist Textilcolor has acquired the application patents for a halogen-free textile flame-retardant (FR) treatment from Schoeller Textil AG.

Textilcolor, which already makes the chemical ingredients for Schoeller’s ‘Pyroshell’ treatment, calls the move a ‘strategically important step’ as it looks to strengthen its market for sustainable chemistry in high-tech textile applications.
