YiLab closes oversubscribed funding round

US materials science startup will use investment to establish research laboratory and factory in Asia to develop thermoregulating fabrics

STANFORD - Materials science company YiLab Temperature Control Technologies, which was set up to commercialise thermoregulating fabrics developed by sister venture LifeLabs Design, has closed an oversubscribed pre-A funding round.

The investment, which will be used to establish a state-of-the-art research laboratory and factory in Asia, brings total funding in YiLabs to more than $10 million.
