Garment manufacturers urge global brands and retailers to streamline audits to avoid unnecessary duplication

DHAKA - Garment manufacturers in Bangladesh have urged global brands to adopt a unified code of conduct for social and compliance audits, instead of each buyer imposing separate requirements.

Leaders of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) made the appeal at a meeting with members of the Global Buyers Forum in the capital city of Dhaka.
