MEPs give final approval for EU Waste Framework Directive revision – but campaigners say rules leave room for improvement
STRASBOURG - The European Parliament has given its final green light to the revision of the Waste Framework Directive (WFD) which includes an extended producer responsibility (EPR) scheme for textiles.
Environmental campaigners welcomed the move but also said it left room for improvement after member states blocked more ambitious measures following a political shift at the last election.
