Framework spotlights responsible purchasing practices

AMSTERDAM - The Responsible Purchasing Practices Working Group has published a new purchasing practices human rights due diligence guide for the garment and footwear industry.

The RPP Working Group, which includes organisations such as the Ethical Trading Initiative, Ethical Trade Norway, Fair Labour, Solidaridad and Fair Wear, collaborates to promote progress on responsible purchasing in the garment industry, using the ‘Common Framework on Responsible Purchasing Practices’ as a reference point. They also work together on disseminating and promoting the uptake and implementation of the framework, and on influencing relevant policy.
