Indian nonprofit says scale of the problem is under reported and urges brands to work with suppliers to improve conditions for workers

INDIA - Many more workers are dying due to heat stress in Indian workplaces, including textile and garment factories, than official figures suggest, according to a new report.

The Heatwatch nonprofit, which is dedicated to tackling the escalating threat of heatwaves, studied media reports rather than official data to more accurately assess the size of the problem.
