A full meeting of the European Parliament rejects a previously agreed negotiating mandate on the controversial Omnibus red-tape cutting plans
BRUSSELS – MEPs have voted to reject the European Parliament’s influential Legal Affairs committee's (JURI) negotiating mandate on the European Commission’s 'Omnibus I' proposal to revise EU corporate sustainability legislation.
It comes just a week after JURI approved Omnibus I measures to simplify the European Union’s (EU) Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
