Industry body fears vote to reject deal on simplifying corporate sustainability laws could lead to even more watering down
BRUSSELS – Cascale has described as "worrying" the news that MEPs have blocked a deal on the European Commission ‘Omnibus I’ proposal to revise European Union (EU) corporate sustainability legislation.
Cascale's senior director of public affairs, Elisabeth von Reitzenstein, fears it could lead to "even more watering down" of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
