SINGAPORE – Textile-to-textile recycling is set to “become a $30 billion industry within five years”, which will mark a pivotal shift at ongoing ITMA textile machinery events, according to CEMATEX president Alex Zucchi who was speaking at today’s opening of the ITMA Asia textile machinery exhibition in Singapore.

Zucchi highlighted the growing importance of recycling solutions at the ITMA textile trade event, noting that, while not yet among the largest sectors at the show, textile recycling is gaining major traction. With future visitors being able to explore a host of new innovations coming on stream – from fibre recovery and preparation to sorting and spinning technologies.
