AAFA calls for trade reforms to advance sustainability

WASHINGTON DC - The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) has issued a call to tackle persistent trade barriers that it says are impeding sustainability progress across the global apparel and footwear sector.

In its submission to the the US Trade Representative's (USTR) 2026 National Trade Estimate (NTE) report, AAFA calls for a major rethink of labeling, chemical management and regulatory standards.
