Carbios links up with Chinese PET producer

Carbios is aiming to expand use of its PET enzymatic recycling technology in Asia through a collaboration with Wankai New Materials

CLERMONT-FERRAND – Biotech firm Carbios and Wankai New Materials – a subsidiary of Chinese PET giant Zhink Group – have announced an agreement which aims to significantly increase the use of Carbios PET enzymatic recycling technology across Asia.

The two companies have reached a binding agreement on the main principles of their collaboration and the move comes after they signed a letter of intent on 24th June, 2024.
