New safety footwear innovation with Steitz Secura aims to tackle challenge of scrap polyurethane (PU), integrating it back into footwear

SINGAPORE - Dyes and chemicals specialist Huntsman has developed a new polyurethane (PU) solution in collaboration with safety shoe manufacturer Steitz Secura designed to help improve the circularity of safety footwear.

Together, the two companies have created a Daltoped polyurethane midsole system which they claim can incorporate recycled content without compromising performance.
