GLOBAL - Reviewing our columns from the past year or so, significant needs emerge for climate negotiations - funds for loss and damage, adaptation, and other support mechanisms are essential for farmers in at-risk countries.
These include small-scale robotics, worker protections, seed breeding, soil investment, carbon sequestration, reduced dependence on fossil-based inputs, better monitoring and early warning systems for extreme heat and weather, investment contracts, living incomes, improved public healthcare, proper work contracts and social security, improved water supplies (including drinking water), unimpeded trade, cooperative policies and politics, and much more.
