SINGAPORE – India’s textile sector is taking new steps in a bid towards a ‘green transformation’, in a bid to position itself at the forefront of global sustainable manufacturing, according to Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Textiles of India.
In a speech delivered to industry leaders at ITMA Asia + CITME in Singapore, Kansal highlighted the sheer scale and ambition of India’s sustainability strategy, which he says is underpinned by dynamic growth and far-reaching environmental commitments.
