Epic Group begins ‘world first’ heat pumps pilot

Apparel manufacturer says the project at its new facility in India will result in 12,500 metric tonnes of CO2 displacement

BHUBANESWAR – The Epic Group, a major apparel manufacturer for global brands, claims to have set up the world’s first high-temperature electric heat pumps to power an industrial laundry in a pilot project at its new manufacturing hub in Bhubaneswar, India.

Trimetro Garments India Private Limited, Epic Group’s fully owned subsidiary in India, is designed to operate as a net zero carbon facility, powered by onsite and offsite solar systems coupled with battery storage.
