Deforestation law postponed to June 2027

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) is to be pushed back by at least another year amid attempts to simplify the new law

BRUSSELS – Implementation of the European Union’s flagship anti-deforestation law is to be postponed until June 2027 for micro and small operators after EU officials agreed to revise the regulation.

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) is designed to ensure that goods imported to or exported from the EU do not contribute to global forest loss.
