ISTANBUL – Turkey’s under-pressure apparel and textile industries have launched a €7 million EU‑funded initiative to accelerate its transition to a low‑carbon, resource‑efficient economy across key manufacturing and logistics sectors.

The three‑year “Transition to Green Economy Project”, coordinated by the Istanbul Apparel Exporters’ Association (İHKİB), will focus on reducing the carbon and water footprints of the ready‑made garment, textile, chemical, and logistics sectors. The move is supported under the ‘Competitive Sectors
