Radici develops recycling process for mixed textiles

Process developed with The Lycra Company and lingerie brand Triumph is said to recover both nylon and Lycra fibre to make new garments

BERGAMO – Synthetic fibres manufacturer Radici Group says it has developed a new recycling process capable of treating mixed textile waste and recovering both nylon and Lycra fibre to make new garments.

The process, developed by the Italian firm’s research and innovation arm Radici InNova, is based on selective dissolution technology, and according to Radici can treat items such as swimwear, tights and leggings.
