ROCKVILLE – Non-fluorinated durable water repellent (DWR) chemistries are set for strong double‑digit expansion in performance textiles as brands phase out fluorinated finishes under tightening environmental scrutiny.

A new report claims that global sales of non-fluorinated DWR fibre systems are forecast to rise from $1.4 billion in 2026 to $3.2 billion by 2036, a 126% increase equivalent to a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.5%.
