SAN SEBASTIAN – Researchers have developed a novel abrasive material for denim sandblasting from ground mussel shells.

According to the study, the technique is more sustainable, safer and produces more effective abrasive results than traditional methods such as garnet, oxidising chemical treatments or thermal laser treatments.
