India’s Textile Ministry claims the pact “corrects a long-standing tariff disadvantage” against Bangladesh, Pakistan and Turkey

DELHI – The newly signed free trade agreement (FTA) between India and the European Union has been hailed by Indian ministers as a potential game-changer for the country's textile sector.

Under the agreement, which is being dubbed the 'mother of all deals', the 27-nation bloc is providing zero-duty access to its $263.5 billion textiles export market, which is the second largest for India after the US.
