AAFA publishes new restricted substances list

Open industry tool maps more than 300 chemicals across 16 categories of apparel, footwear, accessories and home textiles

WASHINGTON DC - The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) has published the 26th edition of its Restricted Substance List (RSL) which tracks chemical restrictions for finished apparel, footwear, accessories and home textiles.

The open-industry resource maps more than 300 chemicals across 16 categories, collating global bans and restrictions and flagging specific reporting and labelling duties for brands and retailers.
