Partners find a way to develop compact spun man-made cellulosic staple fibres that claim to rival filament synthetics in some warp‑knitted fabric structures
PARIS – A regenerated cellulosic fibre supplier and German textile machinery specialist have unveiled a new joint innovation which they claim could significantly expand the use of man‑made cellulosic fibres in warp‑knitted apparel.
In an area dominated by synthetic continuous filament yarns, it’s claimed that despite subjecting lyocell and modal fibres to the high speeds of warp knitting there were no problems with tension, abrasion, elasticity and contamination with excessive lint.
