Invista links with Epoch on recycled nylon 6,6

Agreement with UK biotech company aims to develop virgin-quality nylon 6,6 at commercial scale using AI-engineered recycling enzymes

WICHITA / LONDON – Invista has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with UK startup Epoch Biodesign aimed at advancing the development of post-consumer recycled nylon 6,6 for use across the textile industry.

Epoch, which is backed by investors including Lowercarbon Capital, Extantia, and Zara owner Inditex, specialises in enzymatic plastic recycling technology and is currently building what is said to be the world's largest nylon 6,6 biorecycling facility.
