Luxury fashion ‘staying quiet’ on social issues – report

Several large luxury fashion companies are failing to fully disclose their impact on people and planet, new benchmark finds

LONDON – Luxury fashion is coming clean on its environmental impacts, but still staying quiet on social issues such as labour conditions in their supply chains, according to a new report released today by UK-based consultancy Context.

The 2025 Luxury Fashion Sustainability Benchmark analyses the publicly available sustainability reporting of ten of the world’s largest fashion companies, including Burberry, Chanel, LVMH and Kering.
