Worldly’s takeover of GoBlu’s BHive platform promises to simplify chemical reporting – but ZDHC warns consolidation must not undermine trust
GoBlu founder Lars Doemer reveals why he sees his company’s acquisition by Worldly as a logical step for sustainability data – while ZDHC chief Frank Michel offers a more cautious view of what comes next.
Speaking to Ecotextile News in Mumbai, shortly after the acquisition of GoBlu and its BHive platform by Worldly, Doemer described the deal as the “logical step” towards ending data silos and giving factories and brands a single system for chemical and environmental performance data.
But in an exclusive parallel interview, ZDHC executive director Frank Michel struck a more measured tone, welcoming the promise of better integration while warning that consolidation must not come at the expense of independence, open competition and trust in chemical verification.
