Recycling due diligence warning for fashion

PARIS - Textile-to-textile recycling has the potential to reduce fashion’s footprint – but it also throws up new labour, environmental and governance risks, warns a new OECD report.

Entitled 'Due Diligence on Recycling Processes in the Garment and Footwear Sector', the paper argues that while recycling could significantly reduce demand for new raw materials, it also creates new hotspots for supply chain abuses.
