Ingka Group, which runs 471 IKEA stores globally, withholds scope 3 emissions data as it gears up to comply with EU legislation

LEIDEN – Ingka Group, the franchise owner of the majority of IKEA stores, has withheld most of its climate data from its latest annual report as its parent company Inter IKEA transitions to new European disclosure regulations.

The retailer's FY25 Annual Summary and Sustainability Report excludes Scope 3 emissions data, which typically accounts for over 90% of retail companies' carbon footprints and includes supply chain impacts critical to textile and furniture production.
