Heat interventions ‘boost garment factory productivity’

NOIDA - Low cost interventions to reduce heat stress for workers at an apparel factory in India boosted productivity by up to 16%, according to new research by the University of Sussex and Royal Holloway, University of London.

The study, conducted in September 2025, examined heat impacts on 160 workers at an apparel manufacturing facility in Noida, a key supplier to an unnamed Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) member company.
