WASHINGTON – The US Supreme Court’s decision to clip President Trump’s “anytime, anywhere” tariff powers may read as a constitutional correction in Washington, but in Dhaka, Phnom Penh or Tirupur it looks more like the start of another cycle of worker‑level disruption than the end of one.

With a 15% temporary global tariff being rushed in to fill the gap over the weekend, apparel brands will once again consider rebalancing their sourcing footprints at speed – which almost always translates into sudden order cuts, factory layoffs and frayed commitments to “responsible exit” on the ground.
