Epoch Biodesign depolymerises textile waste into fibre-grade nylon 6,6

LONDON - UK‑based biotech startup Epoch Biodesign has joined the T2T Alliance as it prepares to scale what it claims will be Europe’s first large-scale nylon 6.6 biorecycling operation.

Epoch, which uses AI‑designed enzymes to depolymerise mixed plastic and textile waste at low temperatures, hopes Alliance membership will give it a stronger voice in Brussels as European Union (EU) legisators finalise new rules on circularity.
