Primark owner Associated British Foods has confirmed the appointment of Eoin Tonge as permanent chief executive of the value fashion retailer, after almost a year in the role on an interim basis.
Tonge, formerly chief financial and strategy officer at Marks & Spencer and ABF group finance director since 2023, initially stepped up in March 2025 following the abrupt departure of long‑standing CEO Paul Marchant who resigned following an internal investigation into an allegation about his behaviour towards a woman.
