On-going regional conflict close to Middle Eastern transit hubs is making international travel to Sri Lanka difficult
OAKLAND – Cascale has postponed its upcoming forum in Colombo, Sri Lanka, which had been scheduled for 30th March 30 – 1st April, 2026, due to the ongoing regional conflict in the Middle East and widespread disruption to major international travel hubs in the region.
The conflict has severely impacted flight connections through key Middle Eastern transit hubs, making international travel to Sri Lanka difficult and uncertain for many delegates, speakers and sponsors.
The event will now take place on March 17-18, 2027, with side events and facility tours planned for March 16 and 19, 2027. The venue remains unchanged — Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
In a statement, the Cascale events team said the decision followed “a thoughtful review of ongoing disruptions to international travel and safety concerns,” affecting attendees, speakers, sponsors and staff, adding that ensuring the safety of everyone involved remained its “top priority.”
Registration for the rescheduled event remains open, with Cascale saying it is “fully committed to hosting a strong and impactful forum in Sri Lanka” in 2027.
