Fashion giants join Apparel Impact Institute in project which aims to replace fossil fuel boilers in wet processing

SAN FRANCISCO - The Apparel Impact Institute (Aii) has launched a new pilot project with some of the world's biggest fashion brands to test and commercialise steam-generating heat pumps in textile manufacturing facilities across Asia.

Ralph Lauren, Nike, Levi'S, Zara owner Inditex, H&M and Gap Inc are among the fashion giants taking part in the Steam Heat Pump Pilot Project, with Aii co-ordinating supplier engagement, feasibility assessments and implementation across facilities in India, China and Vietnam.
