Scottish bio-based textile dye developer secures extra funding to scale its seaweed-based technology
ABERDEEN – Biobased textile dye developer SeaDyes has secured £200,000 to scale its seaweed-based textile dye technology after entering the company creation phase of Scottish Enterprise’s High Growth Spinout Programme.
The new funding builds on earlier backing received when the startup became a spin-in at Scotland’s James Hutton Institute in 2025, a step previously reported by Ecotextile News, as SeaDyes moved to develop market-ready products.
