DPP data rules published as textile sector reacts

BRUSSELS – The EU’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) has published a detailed methodology report setting out the step-by-step framework that regulators will use to determine what data must be included in Digital Product Passports (DPPs) under the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).

The move prompted an immediate industry response from the European Apparel and Textile Confederation (Euratex) warning against excessive complexity and calling for a minimum two-year transition period.
