‘World’s first’ China-Europe DPP unveiled

Dutch platform Aware presents blockchain traceability system for Chinese-made garment made from recycled bottles

SUZHOU – Dutch supply chain traceability platform Aware and China’s National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center (NAFFIC) have unveiled what is said to be the world's first China-Europe Digital Product Passport (DPP) for a textile product.

The new DPP is designed to trace a complete recycled polyester supply chain, from post-consumer plastic bottles collected in China through to a finished garment for European brand Iqoniq.
