Syre links up with ABB on new recycling plant

Tech company to help develop automation and quality control at industrial scale textile-to-textile polyester recycling plant in Vietnam

STOCKHOLM / ZURICH - Polyester textile-to-textile recycling start-up Syre has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with technology company ABB to develop automation, electrification and digital solutions for its first industrial-scale plant in Vietnam.

The collaboration aims to support safe, efficient and scalable operations at the proposed facility which aims to turn post‑consumer textiles and industrial waste into new recycled polyester at gigascale.
