EU-backed consortium moves the Digital Product Passport from theory to practice with pilots inviting textile and apparel suppliers to test real‑world data 

Digital Product Passport pilot for EU textile and apparel suppliers under ESPR
The move comes as technical rules for textile DPPs under the ESPR begin to crystallise.

BRUSSELS – Textile and apparel companies supplying the EU can now apply to join a new Digital Product Passport (DPP) pilot led by Plasafe on the EU‑funded CIRPASS‑2 platform.

For fashion brands, the work of CIRPASS‑2 is seen as one of the key test beds for how such passports might function at model, batch or item level for apparel.
