UK biotech to open a demo plant in London later this year in a bid to biorecycle post-consumer nylon 6,6 at scale
LONDON - Epoch Biodesign is to establish what it claims will be the world’s largest nylon 6,6 biorecycling demo plant at Imperial College London’s new Grapht Works manufacturing hub.
The UK-based biotech, which specialises in enzymatic recycling, says the facility will open in the third quarter of 2026 and be capable of processing “hundreds of tonnes” of post-consumer nylon 6,6 waste each year from apparel, automotive, military and industrial applications.
