Worker rights campaigners target Levi’s claims

AMSTERDAM — The Clean Clothes Campaign has filed a lawsuit against Levi Strauss in the Netherlands, alleging the denim group misled consumers with claims about labour conditions in its supply chain.

The labour rights NGO's Dutch office lodged the case alongside four consumers who say they bought Levi’s products after seeing statements about responsible production and respect for workers’ rights, including freedom of association.
