AMSTERDAM – The ZDHC and the Microfibre Consortium (TMC) have launched the second phase of a joint research programme aimed at improving how the textile industry monitors fibre fragment pollution in wastewater.

With co-funding from Tesco, Primark, Adidas and Lululemon, phase 2 of the initiative, announced in April 2026, expands on a proof-of-concept collaboration the two organisations began in 2023.
