Transparency report lifts lid on textile waste

VANCOUVER – A new report from Canadian textile waste sorter Debrand lifts the lid on what actually happens to more than 1,000 tonnes of brand textile waste which moving through its reverse logistics network in the last financial year.

In what it billed as an inaugural transparency report, Debrand broke down the specific “next life” outcomes – from resale and donation to fibre recycling, upcycling and energy recovery – to show clearly where 1,089 tonnes of waste materials ended up.
